Store carries on the Olympic legacy

Sainsbury’s Ripley is keeping the Olympic spirit alive by donating a host of Paralympic merchandise to local schools.

The supermarket chain was the official sponsor of the 2012 games for disabled athletes and this week handed over key rings, hair slides, wrist bands and tee shirts over to Mill Hill, St John’s Primary, Lons Infant, Codnor Primary and Waingroves Primary Schools.

Manager of the Nottingham Road store Karen Morton, said: “Our colleagues and customers have really got behind all ParalympicsGB and Team GB athletes and we wanted to celebrate the success of the London 2012 Games by providing SIX local schools with a lasting memento of what has truly been a year like no other.”
