Splashing the cash

A sponsored swim by two childminders has raised £200 for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

Zoe Bennett, from Denby, and Claire Potter, from Ripley, along with friends and children, did 453 lengths of the pool between them over the course of two Saturdays.

The pair said: "We would like to thank all those that took part and also Ripley Leisure Centre for their support."
