Somercotes tyre fire leads to crew being called out twice

AN ALFRETON fire crew was called out twice to tackle a stack of large tyres on fire in Somercotes on Friday, April 13.

The crew arrived to put out flames at the Cotes Park Industrial Estate firm shortly after 3pm, using a water hose.

But they were then called out again at 5.25pm when tyres were found on fire once more.

Police were called to assist on both occasions, but neither incident is being considered as arson.
