Snow causes school closures in Amber Valley

Several schools in the Ripley and Heanor area will be closed today due to ice and snow.

Kilburn Junior School, Horsley C of E, Christ the King Catholic Primary, Alfreton Nursery School, Lons Infant School, Aldercar Infant and Nursery School, Riddings Infant and Nursery School, Howitt Primary School, Langley Mill Junior School, Marlpool Infant School and Alfreton Park Community Special School, have all announced they will be shut today.

Aldercar Community and Language College is expected to open from 11am.

All pupils with exams today at Mill Hill School in Ripley are still expected to attend - although the rest of the school will be closed.
