Scheme launched to get women active

AN ILKESTON gym has teamed up with Sport England to run a scheme to encourage young women to exercise.

Women aged 18-25 are being offered the chance to attend the gym, on the Booths Industrial Estate, for £1 a week for six weeks.

There are ten six-week gym memberships on offer at the reduced rate of £6 -they would normally be £39.

Sally Peacock, owner of the women-only gym, said: “This is a great opportunity for young women to come and try out Curves and see how it can help them get fitter, lose weight and gain confidence.”
