Big-hearted runners are being urged to sign up for this year’s Race for Life in Chesterfield.
The event – which promises to raise thousands of pounds to fight the devastating disease – will take place in the town on Sunday, June 15.
A spokesman for Cancer Research UK, which organises the run alongside Chesterfield Borough Council, said: “We receive no Government funding for our research so we need your support through events like Race for Life to help us continue our groundbreaking work and help more people survive the illness.”
Women can walk, jog or run the 5k route, which will start from the town hall at 10.30am and finish at Queen’s Park.
Boys under the age of 11 are also invited to take part.
Last year’s Race for Life in Chesterfield raised £125,000 for Cancer Research UK.
