If you live in Heanor then there’s no doubt you’ll have spotted driving instructor Andy Pearson in his unmistakable rock ‘n’ roll styled car – and now he might just spot you too!

Andy, 37, has taken the bold new step of putting CCTV cameras in his instructor car as part of a new initiative to help his drivers learn from the mistakes they’ve made during driving lessons.

Tattooed rock fan Andy, who runs Drive Like a Rockstar driving school in Ray Street, said: “This is the ‘new thing’ in driving lessons, so I’m adopting it now to stay ahead of the rest.

“I use it to send footage back to my drivers as remedial lessons if they have a problem area, for free!

“It’s proved invaluable to some and I’ve had loads of really positive feedback about it.”

One of Andy’s student’s Nick Smith heaped the praise on the CCTV. He said: “The ability to
review short clips of my lesson and have them sent to me over the internet is a great help.

“Drive Like a Rockstar have given the student the tools to learn in their own time and not use valuable lesson time working over previous problems.

“It shows a continued commitment to quality training over quantity of lessons.

“As a student qualified in teaching, training and
development I would
highly recommend Drive Like a Rockstar’s service as a
teaching aid.”

Andy hit the national headlines with his custom car with its skull and crossbones and flame paintwork.
