A Ripley man was arrested and bailed yesterday after police found him carrying wraps of suspected heroin.
The 29-year-old man was walking along Nottingham Road in the town at around 6.50pm yesterday when police stopped him.
A police spokesperson said the man was seen acting suspiciously. Officers stopped him and found him to be carrying a large amount of heroin hidden in a private part of his body. They arrested him on suspicion of intent to supply and took the man for questioning.
The 29-year-old was also said to be carrying a large amount of cash.
