Police track down sex offender

A registered sex offender who had failed to tell officers his home address has been found.

As part of his terms of registration, Jeffrey Redman-Armstrong was required to inform police of his current address, however officers had not had contact with him since September 2011.

Derbyshire police released a photograph and details of Redman-Armstrong in February, asking for public help to trace him.

The 42-year-old, who has connections to Derby, Long Eaton and Ilkeston, was arrested by officers from Greater Manchester Police on Friday June 15 in relation to a suspected cannabis grow.

He has been remanded into prison custody.

He was convicted in 2005 of sexual activity with a female under 16.
