Fitting volunteer work around a busy schedule for local business people couldn’t be easier with a new charity campaign.
‘Power Hour’ launched by the Air Ambulance Service is seeking corporate volunteers to donate an hour of their time to support their life saving cause.
The charity, which runs Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance, relies on support from the general public and corporate sponsors.
Their volunteers play a huge role in raising money and helping to spread awareness of the childrens and local air ambulance services.
The DHL NHS Supply Chain supported the charity last year raising more than £2,000 and carrying out almost 2,000 rescue missions together.
Jo Payne, volunteer manager at the service said: “Power Hour is a great way to get a taster for something new and help save lives.”
