Uunsung voluntary workers in the Ripley, Ambergate and Heage area are set to be recognised by Ripley Town Council.
Every year the council award Certificate of Merit that pays tribute to this valuable - but unpaid - community work.
Nominations are now being invited for the 2014 Certificate of Merit Award.
The leader of the council, councillor Steve Freeborn said: “The town council are anxious to encourage nominees of any age or any walk of life, whether well known or not, whose notable voluntary service to the community or contribution to life is regarded as worthy of this award.”
Nominees must live or work with local groups in the town council area - that is: Ripley, Heage, Nether Heage, Marehay, Waingroves, Bullbridge, Street Lane, Sawmills or Ambergate.
However, councillors are not eligible.
Nomination forms are available from the Town Clerk and the closing date for nominations is Friday, October 31, 2014.
