Nominate groups for cash boost

Community Chest

Community Chest

Do you know a local community group or charity that could benefit from a £500 cash boost?

The Ripley & Heanor News has teamed up with leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to offer worthy causes the chance to receive £500 in our fantastic Community Chest campaign.

We are inviting you,
our readers, to nominate good causes in the Ripley and
Heanor area which you feel are most deserving of this incredible cash award.

Whether it’s a local charity which relies on donations to carry out its work in the community, or a group or organisation which makes a real difference in your neighbourhood, we want to hear where you think the money would be best spent.

Mariana Knight, regional sales and marketing
director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, which is currently building high-quality new homes at its Briars Chase
development near Ilkeston, says: “This is a fantastic
opportunity for readers to nominate their favourite local cause to receive a very special thank you in the form of the £500 Community Chest.

“We are delighted to be teaming up with the Ripley and Heanor News for this
special initiative and hope people will take the
opportunity to nominate the unsung heroes in their community.”

Readers have until Friday, September 19, to put forward their nominations for the Community Chest.

Our editorial team will then whittle down the
nominations to produce a shortlist of the most deserving causes, before inviting readers to
vote for their favourite.

Shortlisted nominations for the Community Chest will also receive the added bonus of publicity in the Ripley & Heanor News, helping them to raise their profile across our circulation area

To nominate a good cause for the Community Chest, email news@rhnews.co.uk, with ‘Community Chest nomination’ in the subject line, and include your name, telephone number, details of the organisation you are nominating and why you think it should receive the £500 award.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 19.
