Nigel Mills MP today welcomed the £2.5m for Derbyshire from the Conservative-led Government’s Pothole Fund, announced in the 2014 Budget, and confirmed last week.
The scheme will see Derbyshire County Council allocated with enough money to fill in 46,000 potholes across the county.
Commenting, Mr Mills said: “I know from speaking to constituents that many of them are concerned about the number of potholes in the roads in Amber Valley. They are simply a nuisance to drivers.
“I’m very pleased that the Government has allocated this money, and I will pressure the County Council to ensure that Amber Valley gets its fair share of the funding.”
