New studio school set for Heanor?

Heanor folks are to be asked for their views on outline proposals to set up a studio college for 14 to 19 year olds on Mundy Street.

Studio Schools are a new option for young people that are an alternative to school and enable students to take part in enterprise projects and paid work experience as well as learning national curriculum subjects. Years 10 and 11 will have work experience of four hours a week with a reputable employer and students in years 12 and 13 students will have two days a week of paid work, related to their programme of study.
