A NEW dentist will open in Swanwick this month, providing a NHS service for 5,000 patients.
Amber Valley Dental Practice on Pentrich Road will be officially opened on Tuesday June 24 and will offer a full range of NHS treatments.
This will include two full-time dentists and a part-time therapist/hygienist.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire County PCT added: "We are delighted to be in a position to offer patients in Amber Valley access to a brand new modern, well equipped and purpose-built dental surgery which are is a real flagship for NHS dentistry.
"The new services form part of an extra 3.3m investment the PCT is making to improve access to dentistry throughout Derbyshire during this financial year, and we hope that patients will benefit from these services for a long time to come."
Barry Cockcroft, the government's most senior dental advisor for England and the professional head of dental staff in England will spend the day meeting the teams and looking round the new state-of-the-art surgery. John Raine, chair at Derbyshire County PCT will represent the PCT at the opening.
