Developers Amberlea Developments Limited of, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, can now create 75 touring caravan pitches on the 11-acre site.

They say the scheme would be of a “scale appropriate to the rural/green belt surroundings” and bring jobs to the area. An earlier application asked for 150 pitches.

Objectors say the area will not benefit from tourism and that Green Belt land should not be used.
