Mourners say goodbye to Charlotte at funeral today

Moving goodbyes were said to a talented Heanor woman killed in a freak landslide while on holiday in Dorset at her funeral service this week.
More than 150 mourners attended a touching ceremony for 22-year-old Charlotte Blackman at Bramcote Crematorium on Friday.

More than 150 mourners attended a touching ceremony for 22-year-old Charlotte Blackman at Bramcote Crematorium on Friday.
Family and friends wore floral dresses and pink shirts in honour of the woman, who often had a flower in her hair – and who those close to her have described as ‘a beautiful, inspirational young lady’.
A funeral cortege of four black limousines took Charlotte and her boyfriend Matthew’s family to the Nottinghamshire crematorium.
Her father Kevin Blackman, helped carry the casket, painted in lilac and adorned with bouquets of roses and carnations, into the church – clutching a picture of his daughter in one hand.
The close family held a private ceremony at a separate location following the hour-long service.
Charlotte’s former head teacher Tony Cooper , of Aldercar Community and Language College, attended the packed public service.
He said : “It was a lovely, friendly ceremony.
“It was a sad occasion , but there was a lot of laughter there and that summed up the warmth that Charlotte had as a person.”
Written tributes were lain among the flowers left for Charlotte, who was months away from starting a teacher training course. She also volunteered at Derbyshire Autism Services Group, based in Ripley, working one-on-one with the children.
Her father , mum Rachel, sister Sinead, brother Mitchell and ‘Nannie Kate’ left the message: “Somewhere over the Rainbow Bluebirds fly, why oh why can’t I?
“We will love and miss you forever Charlotte.”
The brother of Charlotte’s boyfriend Matthew Carnell, and his partner Katy, wrote: “Our hearts are heavy with sadness and tears, but our memories are full of love and kindness.
“We feel so fortunate to have known you and had you as part of the family for six years.”
Her uncle and aunt Mizz and Sue left a floral tribute in the shape of a butterfly.
They wrote: “We have been privileged to have seen you grow up and become a kind, loving and genuine person.
“We will never forget your smile, your energy and your zest for life.”
