An ambulance outside Sunderland Royal Hospital's Accident and Emergency department yesterday morning (Tuesday, New Year's Day 2008).

An ambulance outside Sunderland Royal Hospital's Accident and Emergency department yesterday morning (Tuesday, New Year's Day 2008).

A motorcyclist was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre after falling off his bike on Sunday night.

Police and paramedics were called to the roundabout near Station Road and Chalons Way at 6.20pm.

Officers remained on the scene for about an hour.

The man was not seriously injured.
