A 28-year-old man had to be taken to hospital after he was assaulted outside his house in Langley Mill.
Two men knocked on the door of his Bourne Drive home at around 9pm on Tuesday, January 14.When the victim answered he was assaulted on the doorstep.
He suffered cuts to his face and neck and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening. The men ran off in the direction of North Street and may have got into a car or continued on foot, police say. They are described as Asian, in their 30s and were wearing dark clothing. Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
