Alfreton Inner Wheel’s February meeting opened with President Clair welcoming everyoneClair thanked everyone for supporting the ‘Rock up in Red’ theme of the evening in aid of the British Heart Foundation’.

Most members dressed in ‘red’ and gave a donation for BHF, which raised £68.

The President welcomed Jenny Savidge and Joyce Clifford, who have re-joined the Club and inducted new member Joyce Harkus.

Following an enjoyable ‘carvery ‘ meal, the speaker for the evening was Ann-Marie Loades wi th ‘Life on the Beat’ included many interesting tales of her experiences during 33 years in the police as one of Derbyshire’s first policewomen. Kay Ramsbottom gave a vote of thanks.

The business meeting followed with Club Officers giving reports. Pictured are, from left, Jenny Savidge , Joyce Clifford, Joyce Harkus and club president Clair Nightingale.
