Ilkeston teen charged with wounding

Detectives investigating an incident where a man was stabbed in the neck have charged a man.

Jamie Waterall, 19, is due to appear before magistrates in Derby this afternoon charged with wounding.

Officers were called to Mill Street, Ilkeston, at around 4am on Sunday June 10, following reports that a man had been attacked.

The 19-year-old local man was taken to Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre for treatment where he remains.

His injuries are serious but not thought to be life-threatening.
