Police have renewed appeals to trace the weapon believed to have been used to murder Danny Baker in South Normanton.
Detectives have been appealing for the public to help trace a knife allegedly used to stab Mr Baker to death in the village since the start of December.
It is believed to have been dumped in a clearing within woodland off Lea Vale, just beyond a wooden bridge that crosses a brook.
Police have conducted searches of the area but the weapon has not been found.
Officers are asking anyone who may have found the knife since the murder on July 19 to come forward. Anyone who discovers a knife in this area should similarly contact police on 101. A map has been produced showing the area where police believe the knife to be is available to view at the force’s website.
Leon Lockhart, 31, and Michaela Griffiths, 24, both from South Normanton, have been charged with murdering the 32-year-old. Miss Griffiths has also been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
