‘Heanorgaters’ to do Moonlight Walk

Teaching assistants known as ‘The Heanorgaters’ from Heanor Gate Science College will be taking part in the Moonlight Walk to raise money for Treetops Hospice.

The Moonlight Walk is the biggest fundraising event for Treetops, with hundreds of women taking part. This year’s walk will be the fifth year it has run.

Sixteen teaching assistnts from the Kirkley Drive school will be taking part on June 27 .

Teaching assistant Amanda McLeod said: “We thought that it was good cause to get behind as unfortunately quite a lot of people have had dealings with cancer.”
