BUSINESS at a hair salon in Eastwood is doing so well the owners have had to invest in a premises twice the size.

Defying the harsh economic conditions, Fresh Hair in Mansfield Road is going from strength-to-strength and has taken on the building next door to double its space.

The Mayor of Eastwood Ken Woodhead cut a ribbon at the shop on Wednesday to declare it open, and owners Richard and Heather Hill had an open evening offering customers drinks and cakes.

Heather cuts ladies hair at the front of the shop, while Richard runs a barbers shop at the back.

Heather said: “We have just built up a regular client base over the three years we’ve been open.”
