Gala drums up charity cash

A MATLOCK-based furniture company is hosting it’s own charity gala to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Indigo Furniture will hold the event at Matlock Rugby Club, in Cromford Meadows, on Saturday, May 26.

The event will run between 2pm and

6pm and proceeds will go towards Bluebell Wood Hospice.

The charity is based in Sheffield and provides care and support for children with shortened life expectancy.

There will be fun for all the family at the gala, with entertainment including Punch and Judy shows, Maypole dancing, Morris Dancers and Classic Cars.

Sarah Champion, chief executive of the hospice, said: “The Diamond Jubilee gala is an invaluable source of fund-raising.

“We hope to have a good attendance from the public.”

Further information on the event is available by calling Indigo Furniture on 01629 581800.
