Free crime advice

Residents in Ripley and Codnor have the chance to pick up advice on crime prevention at two special ‘Lock Up’ events.

Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team have joined forces with the Amber Valley Community Safety Partnership to hold the events over the next few weeks.

PC Anna Welberry said: “The ‘Lock Up’ events are all about giving local residents and shoppers tailored advice on safety and security, to help address any aspects where they could be more vulnerable to crime. The team will be giving out free security devices.”

The first one is set to take place at the Co-op store, on High Street, Ripley, between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday, March 20. It will move over to Codnor the following week, on Wednesday, March 27. Officers will be at Highfields Community Room, on Field Street, between 4pm and 8pm
