Forms needed back early
RESIDENTS in the Broxtowe borough are being asked to return their electoral registration forms two months earlier this year.
It is to ensure they do not lose their right to vote in this year’s election to appoint Nottinghamshire’s first Police and Crime Commissioner.
Residents of the borough will receive their 2013 electoral registration form shortly and will be asked to return their completed form as soon as possible before October 5 to vote in the election, which will be held on November 15.
As last year, the box in the opt out column on the form will not be pre-ticked in order to ensure everyone has a fresh choice whether or not they wish to opt-out of the Edited Register, which is available to be sold to anyone who applies to Broxtowe Borough Council.
Unless the column is ticked, residents will be included on the edited version of the register.
