‘Explosion’ at Crich home

A DISCARDED aerosol can caused an explosion at a house in Crich - leaving an occupier with burns to the face.

Fire crews from Alfreton and Crich were called to the home on New Road on Sunday around 2pm to put out the resulting flames.

The aerosol can had been ‘put onto an open fire’, a spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said.

Fire crews left the scene at 3.30pm.
