Eastwood Police station to close

Eastwood Police Station will close for ten to 12 weeks in November for refurbishment.

Police officers have asked Eastwood Town Council if the beat team could be based in their rented office in Mansfield Road during the re-fit to keep a base in the town

However in a meeting on Monday night councillors decided the office was too small to accomodate them and said they planned to suggest the officers base themselves at the pavillion on Coronation Park.

Cllr David Bagshaw said: “The pavillion is a suitable alternative and will put them in a good central location.”

The other officers will temporarily move to Hucknall.
