‘Drug’ driver arrested after garden wall collision

A DRIVER was arrested and bailed after suspected drugs were found in his crashed car.

Police were called after the vehicle collided with a garden wall on Wood Street on Friday afternoon.

The driver was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre suffering minor injuries.

When police searched the car they found suspected drugs in the footwell and the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

He was bailed and will have to report to a police station in August.
