Derelict farm building blaze in village

Fire crews from Alfreton needed breathing apparatus to tackle blaze at a derelict farm building in South Normanton yesterday.

The 20 x 10 metre building on Meadow Lane was reported as being on fire shortly before 2pm.

The Alfreton crew were joined by appliances from Nottinghamshire to tackle the blaze, with all crews leaving the scene at 3.20pm.
