The Old Oak at Horsley Woodhouse was named runner up, for the third year running, in the Derbyshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) 2013 Pub of the Year award.

The Hunter Arms, Kilburn, which had won for the previous two years, finished third this time.

The award was won by the Black Bull’s Head, Openwoodgate.

The first-ever Amber Valley Winter Ales Trail was won by the Holly Bush at Makeney, closely followed by the Black Boy, Heage, with the New Inn, Riddings, in third place.
