Dad and son repel raiders
Police are hunting a three-man gang who broke into a South Normanton home in broad daylight and threatened the occupants.
The incident took place at around 1.40pm on Monday, October 29, when three men tried to break into an address on Carter Lane East by smashing French doors at the back of the house.
The occupants, a 46-year-old man and his adult son, were in at the time and immediately called police.
The men threatened the 46-year-old man who picked up a fire poker to prevent them getting into the house.
The men then ran off in the direction of the East Midlands Designer Outlet.
The first man was described as white, around 6ft tall, of stocky build, wearing a dark coloured top, a black balaclava and gloves. The second man is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build and also wearing a balaclava and gloves. The third man was white, around 20-years-old, with mousy hair, of medium build and wearing light coloured clothing.
