Kilburn miners welfare are hosting the Kilburn Cup, a competition for local football teams.

The small-cup tournament kicked off on Saturday, July 5, and runs throughout the month.

Club secretary Craig
Vasey, of Field Street, Codnor, said the competition would benefit both the players and the ground.

He said: “Having a more habitable surface will encourage teams to play there, and the players enjoy pitching in to raise funds.”
