Church’s 24th annual fair

NuTHAlL Methodist Church has held its 24th annual craft fair and plant sale.

More than £1,300 was raised at the event where there were more than 20 stalls, a display of wood turning and an exhibition by Nuthall Art Group.

The money will go towards the maintenance of the church coach that takes members on day trips.

The coach, nicknamed Elsie, was bought in 1993 after a legacy was left by a church member.

Almost 20 years later Elsie is still playing a big part in church life.

Back in the 1990s an old Bedford ambulance was used to ferry members about.

Anyone wishing to church coach committee should contact Mrs Ellis on 0115 9278429.
