Students at Mill Hill School have donated more than 30 charity boxes to a trust that helps people at risk of homelessness.
Every form group handed over a box to Derventio Housing Trust as part of the Ripley school’s Sixth Form enrichment programme.
Students and staff decorated the boxes and filled them with items ranging from clothes and toiletries to food and chocolates. The boxes will be given by the trust as a welcome gift to anyone who is homeless and re-housed in one of its properties.
Steve Richardson, director of learning at Mill Hill School, said the school’s response had been fantastic.
