The mayor busted some moves with King William Care Home residents, Molly Murphy and Joan Summers, who had travelled from their Ripley home to the Valentines tea dance at the Wilmot Street Community Centre in Heanor.

The event was organised for residents and families of people who use care homes run by Ashmere Care Group.

Alison Martin, activities co-ordinator, said: “We would like people to see that there are good things happening within care homes and that we always have fun.”
