Break-in at football club

Thieves broke into Alfreton Town Supporter’s Club and stole money from the slot machines.

The incident at them premises on North Street was reported on Monday at 6.15pm.

It is thought the thieves forced a window to gain access.

The club was nearly put out of business in November 2012 after thieves ripped open a safe and stole a week’s takings.

Since then the club has held a fundraising event to try and make up the losses.
