Bill Barber concert
Ripley Rotary Club - Bill Barber Concert
The Annual Bill Barber Concert held at the Palmer-Morewood Club Alfreton and organised by the Rotary Club of Ripley has been hailed a success.
There were more than 160 guests.
The concert is named in memory of Rotarian Bill Barber who first suggested the idea.
It is a night out for local people who do not get out as much as they would like. They are picked up from home and taken to the concert and entertained by local artists.
They are also served refreshments in the interval and taken home afterwards.
Compare for the evening was Rotarian Stuart Rice who thanked the artistes, the Brian Scott Sound, the members of The Cary on Singinging group, The Community Transport drivers, the Swanwick Scout Troop, Kevin Doyle Coaches and the Palmer-Morewood Club for their help in making it a successful evening. He then introduced Senior Vice President Paul Rose who presented flowers to Barbara Rice, Audry Ashton, Kirsty Doyle and Cheryl Upton, thanking them for their help and Rtn Stuart Rice for organising the event.
