Bike collision

A 19-YEAR-OLD man escaped serious injury after he collided with a parked car whilst riding his bike.

The incident happened on Hands Road at 10.40pm last Thursday when the mountain bike collided with a parked Chevrolet Aveo.

The cyclist was taken to intensive care at the QMC in Nottingham where he was sedated.

A police spokeswoman said his injuries were not as serious as first thought and he was kept in for a few days for observation.
