Belper’s Ross Davenport and Team GB swimmers finish in sixth

Belper swimmer Ross Davenport and the Team GB men’s 4x200 metres freestyle relay team have finished in sixth place in the final.

The race saw American swimming hero Michael Phelps make history as his team took Gold and he became the greatest Olympian ever with his 19th medal and his 15th Gold.

Ross swam the last leg of the race for Team GB, and said afterwards it was the one he enjoyed swimming. He also said it had been ‘fantastic’ to be part of the team.

France were second and China in third.
