BANNERS to boost trade can now be spotted around Matlock as shopkeepers step up their Town Team campaign.

Up to 20 traders around town now have the pink “Shop in Matlock” stickers in their windows to show customers they are part of the growing band offering discounts and even refunds on parking charges.

The sticker was designed by young Daisy Godfrey of All Saints’ Infants School, and printed free of charge by Matlock’s Bullitt Display Solutions Ltd.

Town Team spokesperson and Bellissima Jewellery proprietor, Danielle Barker said: “What it means is that we’re offering an incentive, either by refunding the parking or an alternative offer.”
