Appeal for witnesses to assault in Alfreton

Detectives in Alfreton are appealing for information after a man suffered a broken jaw when he was assaulted as he walked home.

At around 1.30am on Saturday, August 4, a 24-year-old man was walking along Priory Road when he was approached by two men.

One of the men punched the victim in the face and the victim then blacked out and fell to the floor.

The men walked off and the victim called police. He then went to hospital where he had to undergo an operation for a broken jaw.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who has information about the assault.
