Angela’s fundraiser
A HEANOR mum-of-two has held a fundraiser for the hospital wards that treated her during her battle with breast cancer.
Angela Measures, 50, of Ilkeston Road, managed to raise £200 for the Royal Derby Hospital radiotherapy, chemotherapy and breast units.
The yearly event held at Jan’s Cafe on High Street in Heanor saw people take part in a raffle and an Easter-themed tombola, as well as enjoying a selection of delicious cakes on Good Friday.
Trainee florist Angela also holds a Christmas fundraiser at the cafe and in total she has raised more than £1,000 for the units.
She said: “It’s just my way of saying thank you to the hospital.”
