Ambergate road rage attacker sprays man with paint

A road rage attacker sprayed red paint all over a fellow motorist in Ambergate.

The driver saw red during an incident on the A610.

At around 8.20pm on Saturday, December 29 a 39-year-old man was driving from Ripley towards the Hurt Arms when the car in front suddenly braked.

He steered around the halted car and then turned right onto the A6.

However, the other driver allegedly started following him and flashing his lights.

Eventually, the man being pursued pulled over and his alleged attacker approached the car.

He then sprayed a red paint type substance over the victim.

After dowsing the man, the the alleged attacker went back to his car and drove off.

Police have issued a description of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

He is described as beingwhite, around 5ft 7inches tall, between 40 and 50-years- old, with grey hair, and of slim build.

The alleged attacker is also said to have been driving a silver car at the time – thought to have been a Vauxhall Astra.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Derbyshire police on their non-emergency 101 number.
