Road repairs and other improvements costing £150,000 will be carried out in north Derbyshire this month.
The investment is part of a £35million package which the county council will spend on improving the roads in 2014/15.
Councillor Dean Collins, deputy cabinet member for jobs, economy and transport, said: “We are committed to repairing and improving roads and pavements across the county and know residents put a high priority on their condition.
“We want to build a strong economy that creates jobs and supports businesses and a good roads network is essential to help us to do this.”
The money will include road resurfacing on the A51 Derby Road, Chesterfield, Station Road, Chesterfield, Thompson Street, Newbold and Broomhill Road, Whittington and pavement resurfacing at Damon Drive, Brimington. Bridge maintenance will be carried out on the A617 Hasland bypass.
