We are researchers at the University of Southampton and we would like to talk to people who have had a diagnosis of bowel cancer, and to people who have had a friend or family member who has or has previously had bowel cancer.
Were you aware that bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK, and that approximately 40,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year.
To help inform health policy The Health Foundation is funding research at the
University of Southampton, in collaboration with the
Universities of Leeds and London, to explore the experiences of people affected by bowel cancer.
This research is a unique opportunity for people affected by bowel cancer to influence research by sharing their views and experiences.
We are offering you a chance to contribute to this. We would like to invite you to a discussion group on Wednesday, November 5, 18:00-20:00, at The Workstation, Sheffield. If you would like to take part please contact the researchers; Emma Boger, E.J.Boger@soton.ac.uk or Jaimie Ellis J.Ellis@soton.ac.uk. Alternatively call our Freephone number 0800 0285 116.
