Parachuting teddy-bears were one of the main draws at the Ripley Royal British Legion branch’s first anniversary celebration at All Saints’s Church in the town.

Around 20 community groups from The Blend Youth Project through to Amber Valley CVS and the Amber Valley SOS housing campaign group held stalls on the day along with a host of entertainment for the family including a teddy bear parachute jump from the top of the church. The legion was also on hand to give out information on this year’s poppy appeal. Legion member Stuart Joynes, said: “I would just like to thank everyone who attended as a stall holder, I hope they enjoyed it!”
