Motoring

John Hamilton, 26, of Shaw Street, Whittington Moor, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while disqualified. Committed to prison for 10 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Rehabilitation Activity requirement and 80 hours of unpaid work. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. No separate penalty. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Robert Neil Mallinder, 51, of William Street, Eckington. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £120 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

Henry Smith, 20, of Mansfield Road, Corbriggs, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £120 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.

James Kevin Newbury, 26, of Mansfield Road, Hasland, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing Chiminea. Discharged conditionally for 15 months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Jonathan Gordon Alletson, 31, of No Fixed Abode. Admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed after his release from imprisonment in that he failed to report to the relevant officer as instructed within a specified time and abide by his post sentence supervision conditions. Indicated a guilty plea to two counts of stealing meat belonging to the Co-operative, one count of stealing two drills and a sander belonging to Wilkinson’s, one count of stealing washing tablets belonging to the Co-op, and one count of stealing a swing belonging to B&M Bargains. Committed to prison for 20 weeks. Must pay £70, £122.97, £95.84 and £99.99 in compensation.

Jodie Louisa Bearder, 35, of Town Street, Pinxton. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing a handbag and gloves. Community order to last until March 21, 2017, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Fined £80 and must pay £120 compensation and £85 costs.

Sophie Anne Pirie, 33, of Princess Street, Brimington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing children’s clothing to the value of £15 belonging to British Home Stores Ltd. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing joints of lamb valued at £26 belonging to the Co-op Store. Must pay £26 compensation. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing meat and clothing valued at £238.45 belonging to Marks and Spencer. Committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Drug Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

Daniel Walker, 41, of Derby Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing gammon and cheese. Discharged conditionally for nine months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Paul Patrick Dunne, 39, of Bakewell Road, Matlock. Pleaded guilty to stealing Yankee Candles valued at £51 belonging to Asda Living. Community order to last until September 16, 2017, with an Alcohol Treatment Requirement and a Thinking Skills Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay £51 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Christopher Cooper, 26, of Acres Road, Lower Pilsley, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to contacting someone by posting images, photos and comments on social media on the internet and sending messages to another person regarding the first person and threw a drink at the first person which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. Committed to prison for nine weeks suspended for 12 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 160 hours of unpaid work. New restraining order imposed to last until March 21, 2018. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £150 costs.
