Langley Mill property problem resolved

Police have worked with a local housing agency to tackle tenants causing anti-social behaviour.

Officers from Langley Mill were receiving a number of calls from members of the public complaining about tenants living in a housing association property on Station Road.

Reports received included under age drinking, noise and general anti-social behaviour issues.

PC Chad Critchley from Langley Mill Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Following complaints from members of the community we acted quickly and worked with Derwent Living to address the issues raised.

“Derwent Living successfully evicted the tenant as a result of the calls received.

“This is a good example of partnership working and how a problem can be quickly and easily resolved.”
